Product Info

What accessories can I get if I buy a wheelset?

Our wheels will come with quick release skewers, brake pads, valve extensions, spare spokes/nipples and nylon rim strips (for clinchers).

Can I get different color for hubs spokes nipples?

Normally we assemble black hubs spokes nipples for wheels, but we also carry other kinds of color, please let us know when you place order.

Can I requst my own customs designed decals?

Yes, we are able to make customs decals/painting, but the order processing time will be a little longer, please contact us to discuss details.

Are all you hubs 11 speed compatible?

All our hubs are compatible up to shimano/campagnolo 11 speed. That means that they are also 8, 9, 10 speed compatible. A small spacer will be sent for use with non-11 speed cassettes.

How will my rear wheel be laced? Is it possible to have G3 lace?

Normally we lace all our rear wheels radial on the non-drive side and 2x on the drive side. If you would like to have your rear wheel laced G3 pattern, it’s no problem at all.

I am a heavier rider, and concerned about rider weight limit. Is there any way to build the wheels stronger to accommodate me?

Our carbon wheels actually have pretty high rider weight limits. Limits are different for each wheelset and range from 209lbs/95kg ~ 286lbs/130kg. You can increase the effective limit for each wheelset by including the Sapim CX-Ray Spoke upgrade in your build (this adds maybe 22lbs/10kg). When talking about rider weight limits, we’re generally talking about avoiding broken spokes. The Sapim CX-Ray spokes are stronger and the SILS Polyax nipples allow for a more efficient force transfer through the spoke to the nipple and into the rim.

Are the clincher rims tubeless compatible?

We make clincher tubeless compatible rims for 24mm 30mm 35mm 38mm 40mm 45mm 50mm 55mm 60mm 65mm 88mm by far. Both 23mm v shape and 25mm u shape is available.

Is internal hole available for your rims?

Yes, we can make rims in external or internal hole.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions, we will be glad to hear from you.

Choosing Wheels

How do I choose between clincher and tubular?

If you’re racing, maybe consider choosing tubular. If you’re looking for an all-around wheel, definitely choose clincher. 85% of the wheels we sell are clinchers. We recommend clincher for all-around riding, training and occasional racing. If you’re a racer, and are looking for the ultimate in performance, consider choosing our carbon tubular wheels.

Which rim depth should I get?

This is the most difficult decision riders face when purchasing a deep dish wheelset. You need to consider your riding style. If you ride mostly hills you might want to consider a 38mm wheelset. If you do a little bit of everything you might want to consider a 50mm wheelset. The same rider looking for more aerodynamic advantage might want to consider a 60mm wheelset. If you are a solo rider, or a triathlete, consider choosing an 88mm wheelset. Assymetrical options are popular and offer some middle-ground between one depth and another.

Can I upgrade my hubs & spokes? Do you carry ceramic hubs?

Of course, we carry full range of brands/models of hubs and spokes for your assembling option. Our standard road bike hubs are Powerway R13, 290g only, featuring high quality and unbeatable price. If you prefer smoother and more durable bearings, and wanna ride faster, you may consider R13 ceramic hubs.

If you prefer straight pull hub, we recommend Powerway R36, featuring super lightness and carbon coating finish. Also we carry R36 ceramic hubs for your upgrade option. If you are looking for the lightest road hubs for road racing, we suggest Bitex SL hubs, 260g only, featuring 8 sealed bearings (4 front 4 rear) and 6 pawls patented design (2 groups work by turn). Also we carry ceramic edition for this model.

If you are searching for high end hubs, we have DT Swiss 240s hubset. This hubset has a very strong “star ratchet” system in the free hub mechanism and results in better power transfer during aggressive high force riding.

For the spoke, the most popular model is Pillar 1432 aero bladed spoke. This model is recognized by great quality and good price. If you wanna upgrade to lighter ones, you can consider Pillar 1420, around 4.3g only per piece, as light as Sapim CX-Ray. The weight of wheels laced by 1420 spokes is around 100g lighter than standard wheels laced by 1432 spokes.

If you are looking for best spokes, we recommend Sapim CX-Ray aero bladed spoke. Sapim CX-Ray has the great aerodynamic performance which makes you ride faster and longer. The Sapim CX-Ray spokes are stronger and the SILS Polyax nipples allow for a more efficient force transfer through the spoke to the nipple and into the rim.
